Starting the quarter

The kids are off to a great start this quarter. 6th grade is working on optical illusions and learning about the Op Art movement. 7th grade is learning about Cubism. They are about half way through their colorful line studies. 8th grade is exploring ways to explain color using all the senses but sight. They are writing poetry to accompany their drawings.

Our NEW KILN came yesterday!! It is in a HUUUUGE box back in the boiler room. I can't wait to see it unpacked! I'll post pictures ASAP. Below are some pictures of our wonderful clay supplies.

Williamston Middle School Art - First Blog! -Show recap

Hello All!

We recently had our first student show here at WMS and I wanted to share a few snapshots. Our students worked so hard on their artwork and the show was a major success. Good job everyone!
